I think im going to

I have posted about feeling a little down because I dont have any mommy friends & that I cant find any Mommy & me classes in my county. Well I talked to my mom (who was also a young mom) & she said that we should start one. I thought that was an amazing idea, Buuut I dont know where to start. Should I go to the local high schools & hand out flyers? I want it to be where mamas can just go & relax & not talkk about school or to counclers or anything like that. Just good ol' mamas hanging out with mamas. & I deffanitly dont want it to say teen mothers because I hate that term. We are simply mothers who started our family before most women do. Im just wondering some fun ideas to get this started, & where I should start first.. & if you dont have anything nice to say then please dont say anything at all. Thank you for the positive feedback, its so very much appretiated. (:

Just pick a place and time and call it a young mommy play group and make a flyer and put it up at schools and in those flyer boards at stores and stuff.

You might be able to make a facebook to promote it, a few of my friends are part of a mommy and me group in the county I am from, (which is only a few hours away) but they make playdates and give advice (kinda like here in a way) but social media can be awesome sometimes.

Im kinda new to my town so I dont really know where thoughs message boards are, but I will go around town tomorrow & try to find one. If I were to hand them out at high schools or have them put a stack in the office do you think they would okay with that? or would I get in trouble for handing them out at schools? I know some people got in trouble when I went to high school for handing out bibles. but thats differnt

No problem! It really helps keep social things organized to be honest! They use that FB page religiously so it is neat to see what is going on with who and where the playdates are being held and what time in case anyone wants to join.

No I attend an online high school, though the paradise school. But I dont know how much longer im going to be doing that. I was going to try that TAPP program but there trying to force a counslar & stuff, I dont need a to talk to anyone about anything, i just want some damn mommy friends.

Oroville. And I went through tap but was kicked out last August when I turned 20. I was only in it for the last 3 months of pregnancy and my daughters first month of life. The counselors aren't too bad. They really don't pry or anything ( i would've told them to smurf off) Right here at Baby Gaga is where I get my mommy to mommy time lol I'm a homebody so I don't get out much lol

I will look into it. I dont get out very much either. & when I do its to take everyone to the park or to the store. haha
