Counting Calories question

Alright so. Ive tried counting calories before but failed miserably.
This time, Im going with the help of my doctor. I started taking a generic Adipex on Friday. Technically, Im considered obese (by my BMI...I dont think Im obese, Im just not comfortable in my own skin).
But anyways.
My doctor wants me to eat around 1200 calories a day. Its hard! Especially since I am counting them. I count them and I feel like they just add up so fast so I get afraid that I am going to go over.
I started on Friday and this has been my calorie count so far.

Friday-862
Saturday-1005
Sunday-1047
Monday-916
Today-1169

And the only reason today is even that high is because I looked at my numbers literally 10 mins ago and was at 900 something and knew I needed more. So I drank some milk and had one of my weight watchers ice cream bars.

I am not just not eating through the day. Im seriously just not that hungry. When I get hungry, I eat. I just do it cautiously and watch what I eat. Measure out everything, milk, cereal, peanut butter, mayo ect.
But my question is, if Im running low on calories should I just drink some milk or add something little in to make it up, even if Im not hungry? Because I dont want to starve myself (even tho I dont feel like I am) but I also feel like if I were to do that I would just be wasting the calories.
So any help here is greatly appreciated.

If you're not hungry, don't eat. Try plannimg your entire day out in the morning or night before.

It's REALLY important u make ur 1200 goal.. Eating too little will make ur weight plateau and be practically impossible to lose. If u need extra eat nuts. High in cals and great for u. If u need less drink ONLY water... I hate drinking all my cals away

As long as you are making half of your meals vegetables, you should be fine.

Also, I would advise to cut out condiments like mayo and substitute them with salsa, cottage cheese, and mustard.

Make your biggest meal breakfast.

Make those calories count! Good luck!

How many calories were you consuming before? If you go down too quickly, it will make it harder to lose and keep it off!

I'm only drinking water. Except for that milk that I used to make up those calories and when I have cereal.

You are definitely not consuming enough calories.

My doctor told me the reason I wasn't losing weight was because I wasn't eating enough and everything I was consuming was being turned into fat.

I have no idea because I would eat whenever. Even when I wasn't hungry. Just because. And I really don't use too many condiments. I use mayo with olive oil to make tuna. Thats about it lol. I dont like mustard or anything like that lol.
