Is your kid in behavior therapy?

If so, what are they in behavior therapy for and what do they do? My 2 year old bangs her head on the wall when she doesn't get her way. She will bang it so hard that it will knock pictures off of the wall. We've tried telling her no, we've tried ignoring her, nothing works. I spoke to her doctor about it yesterday and she said that she wants to put her in behavioral therapy. So I'm wondering what do they do?

my three year is in it but we havent even had a therapy session yet they take smurfing forever to start it. his first appointment is this thursday and we started talking with them back in september.

My 5 yr old with autism is.

He has aggressive behaviours, running away, melt downs, etc.

Bascially, she watches him and then we work together to figure out what's triggering the behaviour and how to modify things to prevent it, or what to once it's started.

Mostly, she gives us stragies for at home.
