raising a rambunctious boy

My son is 4 years old...cutest thing u ever saw, sweet as pie, and has all the energy of a puppy on crack!

I cant get him to do any kind of quiet/sit down activity EVER. not coloring, not reading not even playing his leappad2 ! He loves power rangers, but wont sit thru the movie (that he smurfing beggggged for btw). Loves Ninja turtles but cant sit thru the 15 min vhs episodes....he loves building and tearing smurf down, he loves finding stuff, he loves cars, dirt, and bikes. and of course his scooter lol but we live on a populated street so he cant always ride it....

I am at a loss. I nneed ideas on what to do and/or buy for a frolicing 4 year old. what do u do with your boys?

My DD is just like that. We got her a trampoline last year for christmas and she will stay on that thing forever and just bounce.

Take him outside and let him burn some of that energy off.

Let him build and tear stuff down.

Make a scavenger hunt for him to help find things.

Make him a track in the backyard for him to play with his cars.

Take him to a school parking lot or playground to ride his scooter.

maybe i need to look into one of those lol.... is it safe?

during the winter its hard since its too cold outside to goto thr park. but a lot of role playing and pretend play.. like i build him forts which he loves. hes obsessed with hot wheels so thats always a good thing to fall back onto for playing with. also crafts like playdough, painting, ect.

its not easy to let him go outside all the time... there are three kids in my house, and usually im the only one who is available to watch them. or else i would let him play outside to his hearts content!!! but the scavenger hunt sounds good and idk what to let him build and tear down!

The one we got has a safety net all the way around it with a door that zips and buckles so theres no way to fall out.

sounds like my 4 year old. he loves sports he is in hockey and since we have put him in hockey his preschool teacher says his attention span has doubled! most days he roller blades through the house

yea usually i make them with blankets and stuff around the house but today i put together this cardboard thing and hes obsessed

i would love that but we dont have enough space... big ass house but no space cause its not my house lol
