Now I know that my family will probably will have a baby shower for me. Seeing as we aren't letting anyone know what we are having and I have all girl stuff from ours daughter. But we know we are having a boy this time.

My question is would you just tell them that you don't want one unless it is the opposite gender which it is. I don't have anything for a boy. But I'm not worried about them providing that for me. Or just tell them you would rather a meet the baby and no gifts. I have tons of people that are willing to give me their boy clothes as well can buy them for ourselves seeing as we have everything else and don't need to buy any big item.

What would you do?

I say no to the baby shower. Baby showers are suppose to be for the first born. I have never been to one that was for subsequent pregnancies. I like the meet the baby party though with no gifts.

Ya I think I'm going to tell them that. We have baby showers for all our babies that's just how my family is. But I don't want all that stuff that people buy you that you end up selling cause you don't like it or don't use it.

My daughter wasn't my first born but my son was already 11 years old when I had her so I was starting all over again. But this one we have everything.

I would. Every baby should get one.  

If they want to throw you one and you're up for it. Why not? I never understood why only the FIRST child gets one. I think every baby should be celebrated

I know every baby should be celebrated. I just don't want everyone to think they have to buy us anything. But I know my family will regardless of what I say because I didn't want gifts for my wedding and still ended up getting some. That's just how they are. I told my Mom last night and she kind of looked at me funny. So I may still end up with a shower if I like it or not.

I know what you mean. Well seems like you know they are going to regardless so it maybe hard to accept but just be grateful you have a loving and supporting family
