an alcoholic is always an alcohlic but we don't force them to stay in rehab for the rest of their lives because of that chance. yeah they could relapse. the rates are pretty high. but just as easilly a non-alcoholic can become one. a child molester is a pretty serious thing....and i wouldn't trust my child around one even if it was 50 years previously. but the ones who have done it in the past aren't the only ones that might do it. and the ones who have done it in the past don't always do it again. they may have the thoughts, but many people can be swayed with their freedom and the punishments involved & that may be enough for some to never do it again.

this guy she's talked about has acted on it, and is currently acting on his fantasies by looking at child pornography....I think he should be locked up. Its just too risky, IMO, that someone who admits to liking children should be allowed to walk the street....JMO

Dont get me wrong i am not totally disagreeing with you. but the thought of someone living next door to me who is a child molestor is really scary. And in a perfect world I would love to get rid of all of them and many other types of sick people. but its not a perfect world and there may very well be a pedaphile/child molestor right next door. AND looking at child pornography is illegal....

have you checked out the sex offender website? i think its something like watchdog. you can put in your address and see where they all are in relation to you. (well where they're registered to live. doesn't mean one can't be BFF with your neighbor and there all the time)

haha i'd be nervous too! i think what would bother my more than them liking children is them willingly admitting it when there was no reason they had to.

A child molestor is actually different that JUST a pedophile.


a child molestor HAS acted on it and most likely is not supposed to be within a certain number of yards from a child at all.

Imma go check i know there used to be a sex offender lived down the road from us but i want to know if he moved.

My mother has a guy that lives a few houses down that is a registered sex offender, it didnt say what he did, but it involved a child......he looks like a normal guy...she found him on the website and was shocked that he was on there!
