baby's first time with dad... bad news

so bd picked up baby for first time. she's 18 mos. i had him drop her off at daycare to stay the night because i was home sick from hospital. before he took her in, he called me to let me know that there was blood on her coat. she got a nosebleed at his sister's house. daycare called me and told me that there was a lot of blood and that she was able to get it to stop. the next morning she calls me and sends a picture of her face. her nose was swollen and her cheek was black and blue. i was too distraught to talk to him. my sister called and he told her that baby fell from her car seat and that he didnt know what happened at first because he wasn't there. i don't believe she fell from a carseat. i told my best friend she wont be going with him anymore and he was cool with it, but my sister disagrees. she says he needs to spend more time with him so she can know her dad.

I would take her to the doctor and if they can prove that she was hit, you need to press charges on him. Seriously.

obviously he is not capable of taking care of a child so why would you force her back into that situation?..why wouldn't he tell you what happened in the first place?..obviously if he knew about the nose bleed he had to know she fell..I would wait until she was older to allow another overnight visit.

If I let her spend time with him it would be supervised. No way in hell would I let her go alone with him.

You need to talk to him, and figure out what happened. AFTER you take your daughter to a doctor
If you suspect that he hurt your baby, you need to file a report and make sure he is no longer able to see her, especially unsupervised.

you need to talk to him and see what he tells you. see if his story changes...I wouldnt listen to your sister if you think that he is the reason that she got hurt. thats fine if you want her to know her dad but i think it would be better if someone that you trust was with them if you cant be there. take her to the doc to get her face checked out and see if you can put it on some kind of file thaat way you have it

No way! He obviously can't take decent care of your lo I would tell him if he wants to see your lo he can do it while your therd. I would have her injuries documented.

She's 18mths old so she's in a convertible carseat. How and why did she fall from that, what did she fall on to? That seems really odd.

OP please take pictures and save them incase this turns into a custody battle. I would take her to a doctor then talk to him more like other mother have suggest. Thats really scary
