My BD was like this. I left him when I was 16 weeks pregnant. It was hard but ended up being the best choice I ever made.

my BD did that a lot while I was prego. The third time he threatened to leave i kicked him out. Best thing I ever did. but my BD was an abusive smurf, sounds like your man is just scared and immature.

I up and go! There is no way that it is ok for a man to go out and spend his families grocery money on alcohol!!! If he is ding tat crap now its not gong tochange when the baby comes... My husband is not the most emotional person and I've had some issues with this pregnancy and it sure scared him I mean he isnt the belly rubbing type and he doesnt kiss my belly or nne of that but if it didnt worry him at all if I was having issues there would be a problem... Hope things get better for you and you makethe right decision for you and your baby!

Yeah, I agree with the previous post -- no way is it acceptable to spend grocery money on alcohol. He is taking away nutrients you'll need for the baby and all so he can be smashed for a few hours.
I would ditch the deadbeat and hit him up for child support and whatever else I could. Maybe then he will realize what a mistake he made; because he'll have to pay more being apart from that child than he would living with you and the child. Time for junior to take a hard dose of reality and grow up!!!
