Hot bath water?

posted 1st Jan
How hot is too hot when it comes to kids bathwater?

Cora is almost 5, and she likes it HOT. Hot like I like it. Turning the skin pink, just about as hot as a hot tub.

When I give her a bath, after a few minutes she begs me for more hot water.

So how hot is too hot? Or can she have it how she likes it?

Maddie like hot water.
We give her a bath how she likes. As long as it doesn't burn her, I don't see what the problem would be.

How can I tell that without a thermometer?

As long as she's comfortable, then what's the problem? One of my kids prefers tepid bathwater and one of my kids prefers hot water. Whatever makes them happy.

As long as it is not giving her burns (which I'm sure you wouldn't allow) I don't see why you should make her take cooler baths.

I have no control over the water temps here. I know it gets over 120.

Meh. If it's not burning her, there's no harm. My kids can get red skin from a warm bath.   I love scalding hot baths. Mmm.

If she l ives in a complex, it may be against her lease to fiddle with it.

I live in an apartment complex. The water heater isn't even available to me lol. It's in a locked room in the basement

However they like it. My kids like scalding hot water for showers and baths lol always have.

So they use it that way. Only thing is, that it dys out the skin really bad. lol I love hot hot hot showers and baths, and when I get in with my kids, its too hot for me, they use no cold water at all, just scalding hot. My kids get out looking like crabs, beat red. lol
