First Prenatal Appt

How early were you when you went to your first appt??

I have my first prenatal visit on the 7th, i never found out this early before so i'm not sure they'll do the same routine. With my others, at the first appt i'd answer questions, give urine, blood and get a dating/confirmation u/s and could always see or hear the heartbeat during the u/s.

According to my LMP on the 7th i'll only be 5 weeks and 5 days.....they wont really see much this time right?

I was 5 weeks. They scheduled a sonogram for two weeks later. They just did the blood work, questions, urine test and pelvic exam.

I had my first appointment when i was 5 weeks! the only thing that was seen was the yolk sac!

I was 5 weeks and about 3 days with this pregnancy the first time I went. I thought I was a bunch further along. But they did everything the same as always, urine, blood, vitals, ultrasound. No heartbeat though, just a dot in a circle. lol

They will do the regular questions info paperwork stuff. Urine and blood. If you are that early they may schedule you in a couple of weeks for an u/a to confirm and date.

Ok thanks. I just wanted to go in knowing what to expect, so I dont get there and freak out because its different from before.

My OB office won't see anyone till they are atleast 9 weeks....that includes high risk pregnancy too

This time around I was 5 weeks. Had blood work, urine sample, questions, etc. they also did the dating ultrasound. Obviously, they couldn't get the heart beat since it was too early.

I thought that would be the case just about everywhere. I was always 8 weeks plus at my other first appts. But the lady didnt even ask any questions when I made the appointment.

This pg and my m/c, I had my 1st appt between 5 and 6 weeks. With DD, the dr didn't want to see me until 10+ weeks. With DS I was also around 5 weeks

Im glad to be going, I have some medications i'm prescribed that the pharmacist told me its iffy to take, so I quit taking them until my appt. And I really need some of them so I have to talk to the doc about that at least.
