You are considered TERM at 37 weeks, and FULL-TERM at 40 weeks.

Some doctors use the terms interchangeably. However, many doctors do differentiate. Term meaning that, at 37 weeks, your baby has a wonderful chance of not needing to stay in the NICU, and full-term meaning that you've made it through all 40 weeks of pregnancy. If you haven't gone 40 weeks, you haven't gone the full term.

They did tell you that the further along you are, the less accurate ultrasounds are as far as determining due dates, right? Generally, your first dating one is the most accurate.

That's crazy they gave you medicine to stop the contractions I was in the hospital late Sunday night having contractions 4-5 mins apart i was only a cm dilated and 60% effaced the nurse had me walk around for a bit and checked me again about 2 hours after i got there and said i had changed some but not enough to admit me... I'm 37 weeks and they didn't give me anything to stop the contractions just some slee ping medicine so i could go home and sleep of course i wake up and not a single contraction.. gonna see what doctor recommends at appointment Friday she might go ahead and strip my membranes see if that doesn't push early labor over the edge. Good luck we don't havemuch longer

Really? I don't consider that rude, at all. She was selfish, She was pissed because she didn't get her way If she did, her baby would have been born, and could possibly have needed time in the NICU for being under developed. (Yes, I know any child, being born at ANY gestational age could be in the NICU.) She stated she's pissed. Why? Because they are looking out for the best interest of her child, rather than let her be born early? Immature, and incredibly selfish.
I know that all moms around that time are ready to meet their child, but you signed up for 40 weeks, at least wait til then before getting pissed that your baby isn't coming.
She was offering advice.

I don't think she actually wishes they hadn't done it if it was right for the baby. Anyone who can read properly can tell that she is just disappointed and impatient, nothing wrong with that. So yes, I thought that comment was rude.
