Sorry i don't know if thats the right spelling or not. I got the minera iud two days ago im having horrible cramps thought the doctor said it will pass
i was just wondering has any fell pregnant using it? What were your experience with it?

The chances of pregnancy are really highly unlikely but if you suspect you're pregnant at any point in time while on it you need to see a doctor ASAP because the chances of ectopic pregnancy are much higher when you have mirena. The cramping will get better soon, mine lasted a few days. I also don't have any periods on it, I've had it in for 2 1/2 years, but I get pretty bad mood swings. I want mine taken out :/

I've had it for 10 months now and I love it. Except periods are unpredictable, they come on whenever they want. But they are light and don't last long. Sometimes out of nowhere I will get cramps for no reason, no period shows up, but then they stop. I do remember at first I had cramps, but not 2 days after. Can you feel if the strings are in place? They should be about an inch of string you can feel, maybe a little less. If you keep cramping I would have your doctor check the position for you, it can shift and cause problems in fertility later.

All the woken I knew with the mirena (including me...) fell pregnant or had miscarriages. Even after using it for years, placed correctly, etc etc. Also even though its low in hormones there is a greater risk of having "depression like symptoms". Am on my phone so can't find the link for you :/

I have the non-hormonal IUD. The cramping will pass it took a week or 2 for me. Ive had it a year, no pregnancy yet, dunno if its different stats for the hormonal one.

personally, i love my mirena. i have had it for about 5 weeks now, and my body is now getting used to it. yes there was cramping for a couple days, and my period has been messed up, but your body has to get used to the type of birth control it is (as your body has to with all BC's)

if the pain doesnt stop within a week or two, call your doctor.
