I wanna learn how to crochet!

What the simplest thing to start out making? Do stores sell starter kits? Whats the best site to use as a tutorial? i need something to help these month fly by!

YouTube videos. First thing I learned was granny squares.

I really wanna make some baby hat and booties lol! I know I need to start off simpler.

i wanna learn too! i know how to knit (kinda... i can make scarves, but i haven't done it for a few years, and i forget how to cast on..), but that's it. crocheting sounds much cooler.
