Lower back pain and spasms after C section

I just had a C section on 12/13/12 and now I am experiencing major lower back pain accompanied with spasms.. My doctor told me today that it was from the spinal block and that it would eventually go away. He prescribed some muscle relaxers as well. Has anyone had this problem after a c section? And did it really go away? I would hate to have this permanently.

I had it with both of my C/S. The spasms eventually went away, but I get killer backaches now.

I still get that alot! And my back "locks up" on me. I had a csection in 2010

I would go to a chiropractor for sure.

Same here especially when its really cold out or when I do a lot of lifting or standing throughout the day. This is after 3 C Sections as well.

No, lots of chiropractors specialize in pregnancy and postpartum women. That's the first place I go after my babies are born, lol.

Yup not the spasms though, I cant remember having it with my first, but def with with my second (3 weeks ago) and yeah, I get killer backaches too.

I didn't have this problem with my first either. Hopefully it goes away because its rather difficult to lean over the crib to pick up my son.

I had muscle spasms post-c section. I'm about 8 weeks PP now and haven't had any for a few weeks.

I am 4 months post c-section and I am still having horrible back pain. I have endometriosis and it goes into my lower back so I thought that was what the pain was from. From what you guys have said it seems to be fairly common, did the chiropractor help? I have some left over muscle relaxers and pain pills I have been using but Im not sure what to do when I run out.
