re: induced

My induction, medically went really well, other than the contractions being a total bitch lol
My labor was 14 hours from pit till delivery, i only had contractions for 8 hours though. I pushed for roughly 30 minutes. She was my first though, so i have nothing else to compare to pain and time wise. I will say though ... hold off on the epi as long as possible. Mine fell out, and in the half an hour or so it was out, i progressed 3 cms.

I had a wonderful induction!! I was induced at 36+ 3 for multiple reasons.

I was already 5 cm. The broke my water at 2:10 pm. Then started pitocin. I went to 6 1/2 cm and contractions started instantlt. I did not have an epidural or any pain meds. I easily breathed through contractions.

I started feeling pressure and told my nurse. She told me there was no way I was ready.

I felt more pressure. I told her again and she once again blew me off. She said she was going to step out for a moment.

I very calmly stated "Look lady, I am pushing this kid out with or without you and that midwife."

The nurse checked me and ran to get the midwife.

3 pushes and baby was on my chest. We didnt know what we were having but really wanted a girl since we already had a son thpugh. I thought we were having another boy.

I looked down at my baby and the cord was in the way! So I yelled "WHAT DID I GET??!!!"

Everone cracked up and Katy told me we had a daughter! I cried so freaking much!!!!

Bo Delainie was born at 2:46 pm. After only 36 minutes of completely painless labor. I literally felt nothing. It was beyond perfect. And if my water would have broken at home we would have deliveted in the car!

I was induced with both of my kiddos! With daughter I started pitocin at 830 am delivered at 8:02 pm (pushed 2 hours 47 minutes) Not due to the induction though it was because she was big and was face up! My 2nd I started pitocin at 12:30pm broke my waters at 1:30 pm got epidural at 3pm and he was born at 7:17 that night! Everything was easy with him until I started to hemmorage.. But labor was easy to be honest with you just both deleivers post partumm was scary. Inductions are different in every case just because someone had problems or labored for a long time doesn't mean that you will! With my daughter I was 3cm and 100% effaced when we started the induction and I was already contracting every 5-7 minutes. My son I was 3cm and 80% and wasn't contracting at all.

Quoting *demarcus mommy*:" o ok...i would like them to break my water as well but im just hoping for a good labor&delievery and recovery"

I got lucky though. I had wanted to have them break my water. But they said he wasn't low enough and I didn't have enough points for that. But after 3 hours of pitocin with nothing, the midwife assisted breaking my water, and made sure his cord didn't come out before he did.

Both mine were very quick & easy deliveries I only pushed a few times for both & one I went from 5cm to 10cm in less than 30 minutes... Only thing that sucked was my epidural didnt work either time & I was given in twice both times...
