Quoting Mrs. Austin Carlile:" Eleanor reminds me of a creepy old lady name  "

old ladies were once little girls. It's a beautifully classic name with so many nicknames.

Had this baby been a girl and my son not be named Elliot, we would have gone with Eleanor. It's pretty much the only name we could agree on.

I kind of though the same when DH suggested Eleanor, but it really grew on me. She is Eleanor Juliette and we call her Ella. Her name suits her perfectly! Not all Eleanor's are old.   we wanted a name that would grow with her and that she can use as an adult.

Out of your choices, I definitely like Ella and Caroline the best. I voted for Caroline, though.

Aww, thank you!  . DH suggested Eleanor and Amelia, my pick was Emmeline (or just Emma). Those were our "top three" and Eleanor was definitely at the bottom for me. When we saw her on the 3D ultrasound at 17 weeks, we both thought she looked like an Eleanor.
