just out of curiosity .

She said a garbled version of our dogs name at 7 months. It took quite awhile longer to realize that was what she was saying. LOL It actually was pretty funny.

My daughter was 8 or 9 months.
My son is 11 months old now, and only says mama, but I'm not convinced he knows it me. He seems to say it when he wants something, lol.

She said an actual understandable word other than mama/dada just before her 1st birthday, then lost the words for a while, then started up again at 17m when she had about 5 words and her language just exploded from there.

He's said a few but randomly. He said Mom and No and used them properly at 4 months. He said "car" at about 7.5 months. Daddy at about 6 months. And NOW he's doing Da da and ma ma. He went backwards lol

He said momma and dada at 7 months and knew the difference between us.
His first real word was baby and bye bye and he said those at 9months, he said them both right within the same week. Now at 16 months he knows about 20 words and says them pretty clear.

my kids started talking pretty early.
I'd say mama and dada at about 6-7 months. and kitty, car, byebye etc by 8-9 months.

My son says no and yeah. All the time and he is almost three months. But i dont count them as his first word though.

Yeah I'd have people bring him over to me and go "Soo uhh he just went "MOOOOM" so I figured he'd wanted you back..." And I was tickling him one day and he pulled back and stared at me all angry and went "NO!" lol

DD is 11 months in pretty much 4 days now and says nothing in the form of a word. She barely babbles.
Like she does babble and squeal a few times a day but really quietly lol
She does a do-dah over and over but that's it.
