I need help and support

Here's the story:
Saturday night around 7 I go to the ER. I was having abdominal pain on my right side with a little bleeding and I just knew something wasn't right. The line to register in the ER was out the door so my fiance waited in line and I went to side down. My legs were getting weak and I was in pain. I seriously thought I was going to be sitting in the ER for HOURS!! After sitting down for maybe 5 mins I was called back to a room. They came in and took blood and all that. The Dr came in to tell me that my hCG was 267. But she was worried that it was a ectopic pregnancy. They found a mass on my right side and couldn't see a baby in my uterus. They called in the on-call OB. He came in and gave me a few choices. Go in with a camera laparoscopiclly to see if is was just a cyst or if it was a ectopic. But he said with how far along I was (they were thinking just a couple weeks along) that they may not find anything and that I would have to go back again in a week to do it all over again. But they were worried that it could rupure and so I decided to have the laparoscopic done. After it was done and I was coming out of it, I asked the OB what happened. He said that it was a ectopic pregnancy and it did rupture. They said that it's a good thing that I came in that night cause I was internally bleeding. They had to remove my right fallopian tube. I guess I just feel sad. We were kind of TTC. I just feel like I did something wrong. I am seriously in more pain then my c-section. My stomach is so sore and my shoulder hurts. They said shoulder pain is a counter-acticve pain from the surgery.
I just need support and to know that i'm not alone. This is really hard for me to understand.

I'm so sorry you had to go through all that.
It is NOT your fault, there is nothing you could have done to prevent it.

I'm sorry hun.
You didn't do anything wrong. Sometimes our bodies are like cars and they breakdown.. But it will be okay I know lots of women who have had many successful pregnancies are an ectopic and loosing a tube.

What happened to you is really common but that doesn't make ot any less painful. I'm sorry you are going through this but if it make you feel any better my sister and a few of my friends have had the same situation and gone on the have healthy pregnancies afterward. Good luck to you.

My mom had an eptopic pregnancy also. If my dad wouldn't have forced.her to go to the ER she would have died from internal bleeding. I'm sorry you went through that, it just happens so please don't blame yourself. I wish you the best with your next attempt

Jessica, you are not alone. You cannot blame yourself. You did everything right. There was nothing more you could have done. . I have fought with depression and its so easy to slip into after something so traumatic. Please talk to your loved ones. I would also urge you to consider grief counseling. There is no understanding for why these things happen. But there is a way and a reason to keep living after.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this. *hugs*
My mother also had an eptopic 2 years before she had me. Docters told her she wouldn't be able to have any more pregnancies/babies after it because of the damage the rupture had caused (she also had to have a falopian (spelling) tube out (and some other bits i'm not too sure what, it's been a while since she told the story.) but the docters where VERY wrong. she went on to have 3 more babies.
Just remember, eptopic is no ones ffault, it's just something that happens. Hope you're ok! . x x

Thank you everyone. I think one thing that scares me is that it will happen again when we decide to have another.

I'm so very sorry. When I had my last D&C (emergency) I woke up with shoulder pain that after a day turned into all over muscle pain - as if I'd overdone it at the gym with every muscle in my body. I was worried I was getting the flu or something but it turned out to be the anesthesia. Apparently they use a different anesthesia if you've eaten within a certain number of hours, which I had because I didn't know I would be needing surgery later that night. Just wanted to let you know in case you get the all over muscle aches and didn't want you to worry like I did!

I have had 2 Ectopics both in the same tube. The 2nd one ended up rupturing at 7 weeks. My levels were monitored because of the previous Ectopic and my levels were going up like they should. I had absolutely no signs of the 2nd Ectopic except for right before it ruptured. I had my left tube removed which was in June 2012 and the end of August I got pregnant and am currently 20 weeks pregnant with a little girl Don't lose hope Mama!
