Cooking

posted 31st Dec
When i was with my ex, i tried cooking, rarely but did, but he wouldnt eat it so i stopped cooking...this time with my new partner, im still not good, but i try every week, sometimes he eats it and other times he doesnt, ugh..i suck at cooking. When he doesnt eat it, i just want to give up and tell him to make his own damn food.

What are you doing wrong? Like what are you trying to cook? I cook all the time and to me it's pretty easy. DH eats everything I cook.

What are you cooking? Are you following a recipe or just winging it?

I would start off learning basic things and then go from there. Try something easy like chicken alfredo with canned sauce. I was an adult when I learned how to cook. We always ate fast food and processed junk growing up bc my mom can't cook lol. But I love cooking now

Thats part of your problem. Start following recipes until you become more comfortable with cooking then you can start to tweak things and move onto creating your own stuff. What type of meals do you want to cook?

Yeah that's a big mistake for someone who doesn't know kitchen basics. If you're not a good cook, you should be following recipes.

If you go to allrecipes.com , they have recipes for just about everything. They also have a million videos showing exactly how to cook stuff. If you're just learning, I would stick with recipes. Once you master the basic stuff, you can wing it and it will be edible.   My hubby is a horrible cook. He's also a big fan of 'winging' it. One time we didn't have tomato sauce, so he used tomato paste (*barf*) and another time, he made spagetti and decided to sprinkle crushed bay leaves on top of it. Bay leaves are basically unchewable. lol

It's not exactly healthy, but I learned how to cook from boxed meals. Like buy a box of the pasta that comes with the packet to make sauce and make it that way, add in some sauteed chicken. Then I slowly started learning how to season things myself.

I was going to offer recipes, but I don't use measurements, and I don't have cooking times.

Try rubbing the baked potato with olive oil and season the outside with salt and pepper.

How are you cooking the veggies and chicken breast? Chicken breasts are really good in a crock pot. Try Pinterest for TONS of recipes.
