I'm looking for some peasant dishes. Anyone have some favs?

I want to expand my horizons and I thought it be cool to go back to basics

like food the peasants ate back in medieval times? Wasnt that mostly bread, fruit or dishes made from easily attainable staples? hmm let me see if they had special dishes, off to google!

I dunno. My fav 'welfare' dish to make is fried potato, onion, and sausage. Lol kids love it too.

We made frittatas this morning for breakfast NOM

Being gluten free is a pita   I am tired of the same stuff peasant foods are back to basics hoping I can get inspired

I've never done gluten free. I've been "clean" eating though.

I think she means like cheap dishes? We do tuna cass. made with 2 boxes od mac, and cheese, a can of tuna, a can of cream of whatever soup, bake it 15 minutes, put cheese on top, bake until cheese is melted.

Yeah I have been googling   I googled medieval stuff   they ate like 5000+ calories a day and ale was a staple lol
