Two of my kids were born between 36-37 weeks, they just had jaundice, but didn't require more that 2 days in the hospital. Both were discharged when I was.

One of my friends just had a baby at 36 weeks, and she came out perfectly healthy. She didnt even have jaundice.

My son was born at 37 weeks and was jaundice but they said it was normal for breast fed babies to be that way. He was perfectly healthy otherwise.

My daughter was born at 36.5 weeks and she didn't have problems right away. She had jaundice but so did my other daughter and she was born on her due date. She was tiny (had IUGR) and is still tiny (12 pounds at 6 months old), but it isn't causing her many problems. She has severe reflux and she had pretty bad apnea for awhile. Any time she gets sick she ends up in the hospital because she requires an IV and oxygen.. they tell me it's because she wasn't fully developed but who knows. She had RSV for 3 months. They told me because she wasn't fully developed her body can't fight off sickness as easy or get rid of sickness as easy and they also blame the reflux severity and apnea on her immaturity. I was in preterm labor from 30 weeks until 36 weeks in the hospital on IV's and getting shots and I also got steroid shots for her lungs so I'm glad she got those or I'm sure the problems would be even worse. However, I know other babies born early that were just fine - it really just depends.

Im pretty sure he will be born with good weight because you feel for him and just looking at me im huge as hell. Ive been having period cramps all the damn time that hurt! My hips have been hurting but this morning the pain woke me up and i had been crying i guess. Im 1-2 50% effaced. Im so sure im more now because i contract and cramp all day every day. But, my water hasnt broke no blood and im having weird discharge, its thick and sponge like, its white and doesnt smell. Although im taking internal gel for BV that might be changing my PH.

My was son was born at 36 weeks and 5 days, and at 4 lbs 15 oz. Perfectly healthy. No oxygen. No NICU time. Only a little jaundice, but we were released after 2 days (even though I had a c-section..) so nope.
