Dark brown is a very good color to have it means its old. If it was bright red or pink and accompanied by cramps then panic. Just keep track of it and bring it up to your doctor when you go.

Call your doctor or go in. I bled and cramped in my first trimester, and both of us were fine, but it is always better to safe than sorry.

Christine is right, but since you are cramping badly...I would go to the ER to be checked out just in case.

How bad are your cramps? I had light period like cramps for a while, I thought Inwas about to start my period & then found out I was pregnant not too long after that. My son is now three weeks old & very healthy. But like I said, if they are really bad I would definitely go.

Well ive cramped on and off since getting pregnant, but the cramps are like mild stabbing pains that come and go.

I know it is hard, but try not to stress (I always hate when people tell me that lol), I went through the same thing when I was about 4-6 weeks along with my DS. He is now a perfectly healthy 18 month old. Like the ladies above me said darker blood is a good thing. It could just be old period blood that needs to come out.

This happened to me at 6 weeks and it was just old blood!
It's usually just the stuff that never made its way out the month prior!

Is it supposed to make you pee every 5 mins?

It didn't cause frequent urination for me. That is usually a symptom associated with a UTI.. And if you are having cramps you should be seen right away at the ER.

Sometimes cramps are an indication of stretching.. Other times miscarriage. They will probably do an internal u/s to determine the source/ cause of the bleeding and if your pregnancy is still viable.

As soon as i find a ride to the ER i will know, i just peed again and the brown discharge has stopped but i am just having a very light on and off cramping now, but i still want to be seen to make sure.
