That doesn't sound like PPD at all. PPD is all the time and is pretty debilitating. It sounds like stress and lack of sleep.

If you're concerned, talk to your doctor.

I was this way with both of mine, it seems like the less they needed/need me the less moody I am and vica versa (not sure if that affects how you feel, but for me it seemed to trigger what you're talking about). Idk if its PPD or just stress.

Yeah when talking to my mom we both figured it was more lack of sleep and so much going on. But my frustration and anger gets the better of me. I feel as though I am controlling it for now but what if I get mad and can't control it.

I guess I needed to know if I should talk to my regular doctor or OB?

Well honestly I have never been very good at keeping my stress under control. It just all feels like so much sometimes. I feel like a horrible mom when I get frustrated because of silly things.

When I had PPD it would be sooo much worse after the sun set. I had it full on...panic attacks too. I didnt really trust anyone to take care of him all night for me to sleep. I have had bad experiences with deppression/ anxiety type meds so I never took them. Do you BF? Once I started cosleeping he started sleeping almost all the way through the night.....8 hours only waking twice for me to whip a boob out and feed him...but we never got out of bed. I also started juicing raw veg and fruit...that helped alot...going out everyday really helps. It took me about 4 months to get out of the worst of it...I still have a bit of mild depression every now and then but I think its due to vitamin deficiency...Go get some vitamin b complex vitamins. Soak up as,much sun as you can....and try to allow others to watch him for short stretches...like showers and a hour nap

I am not having panic attacks and such, thank goodness. In reading more on PPD I am pretty sure that isn't it. I am just smurffy at dealing with frustration I guess? I still need to talk to a doctor though. I am starting to scare myself with how mad I get.

I am sorry you had to deal with it though. That is very good advice still. I need to let others help more and get some rest and space. Its just hard... I want to be able to do it all.

Mama thats very normal....you are not a bad mother! You are just adjusting to a new way of life....it is very stressful. Allow yourself to get frustrated...take a minute or two to yourself when you need it.Allowing these microscopic breaks to reassess helps you be a better Mom

I know how that is...I had a c section and couldnt really take care of my son on my own at first....breastfeeding was a big challenge at first felt like such a failure. I remember laying on my side and struggeling to feed him and he was crying and I couldn't pick him up to comfort him or really do anything. I think as Moms its instinct to want to do everything...but you have to learn how to know when you need a break...just ten minutes can really help. Its better for baby to have a calmer Mommy

You are definitely right. I am going to try harder to relax and go talk to my doctor too. Thanks mama. Stuff I already knew but it helps to hear it from another mom.
