Party city around here has little mermaid and like cartoony kids mermaid things, so I was going to just work with those. I might end up making a few things but she is so excited.

oh okay. That will be fun! Having a boy sucks for birthdays. It's all cars, thomas the train, and boy crap. My youngest is goign to most likely have an owl birthday in April.

Skye at first wanted a dinosaur party but then she decided on mermaids because that is her latest obsession.DH is giving her a bath right now with all of her mermaids, and she is splashing around pretending to be a mermaid lol

Our son had a 'shark' party and I did this streamer backdrop...it was really easy to do [and cheap], it would be cute for a mermaid theme too!

I'm hoping to do a Little Mermaid themed birthday for DD in the next year or two as well!

Yup, string & streamers...I also cut different sized circles out of white paper & strung them up for 'bubbles'.
