There's nothing you can do really. She's too young, Just remove her from the situation/ distract her.

My son is 2 1/2 and had his first real time out yesterday. We usually just do distraction and removing from the situation but yesterday it wasn't working so he got a 2 minute time out. I feel like at this age he actually understood what it was.

I wouldn't do time out until 2. Tell LO no no and move her to something else. I doubt that she knows right from wrong, she is probably testing her boundaries and enjoying your reaction to her mischievous behavior. I'm still battling this with lo, he's 20 months I'll be starting time out at 2.

I started time outs at 13 months, and they have worked wonders. I never have to put him in time out anymore, the threat of it gets him to stop whatever he is doing that he shouldnt be. I'd say 10 mo is a bit young to start though. I know it is hard and frusterating, but just keep saying no, redirecting, and lots of praise when LO listens. Staying persistant, and consistant is very important for it to work though. Make sure everyone in the household is on the same page. Other than that, best of luck to you lol.

Distract her. Their attention spans are short so she'll give up quickly.

She's too little for time outs you have a couple options move everything out her reach (I did this everything is up high including our flat screen) or distract her. DD was 10 months when she started to stand and tried to grab things at 11 months she nearly pushed the TV on top of herself so we moved everything.

We started timeouts for DS at 2 and for DD at 18 months.

Now little one is 15 months and understands a lot of what I am saying so I have started 1...2...3 so far I have never got to 3. I did start at around 10 months getting down to his level and explain why I did not want him to do this. I did find it very hard going doing the same thing over and over again but now it is paying off. He knows when Mummy is not impressed and does listen to me around 90% of the time.

His Daddy though is a different thing altogether he never shouts at him, he just keeps his voice calm and says no, does he listen no way as he thinks Daddy is playing
