That is a different issue. That isn't really related to this at all. And DH is also a federal employee. We're definitely worried about that because I don't work and I can't make as much as him right now.

I hate that we can't have Tricare. I don't know what kind of job your DH has but mine has a federal technician job with the requirement to be in the Guard or Reserves holding an active MDAY slot in a unit.

He's a security analyst for the IRS. He's actually been thinking of joining the reserves after he gets his Master's. I'll be honest and admit that again, I'm pretty ignorant as to what that entails. I need more info before I completely veto it

You don't know what the Reserves entails? It's not a bad gig. I started out in the Reserves. I'm in the National Guard now though.

Not altogether, no. DH was in the Army when we got married. I was the main reason he got out so I don't know how much I'd be down with it. Depends on how adamant he is.

I think we are going over the cliff. From the way it appears, our president wants to go over as he hasnt offered any concessions. also, even a short window will bring in HUGE taxes from the middle class, so i think he wants to go over.
We are screwed in our house as we are considered a "millionnaire and billionnare" by Presiden O even though we dont make a million our taxes will go up and stay up whereas everyone elses will probably go back down.
I feel badly for the poor and middle class as they will be hit the hardest. More and more jobs will go away and/or not be added if small and large businesses dont feel like things are getting better and they are NOT better and there is no end in sight to this smurf show.

whyyy do you blame everything on the president. I think there is more of an underlying issue that you have this strong hatred for him that anything that goes wrong is 100% his fault. You don't take into consideration that he brought 3 plans to the table that were all debunked and mocked by GOP. Also, a GOP plan that didn't PASS in a conservative house. The House and congress is to blame. The president has brought deals to the table but he will not continue with bush tax cuts and he does not want to cut funding that will hurt middle class, seniors and students. Congress is 100% at fault because it is THEIR job to work for the PEOPLE and PASS legislation to make sure our country runs smoothly.
