Provera n estradiol

So I'm hardly have a period, but the pass yr n half they been getting after apart so after being 5 months late I chose to go to the dr. I saw a np and she checked everything my lining was thin n no cyst. But she said I could have one of two things. POCS or POF. But she didn't feel okay with my case so I'm seeing my old dr. He requested lot if lab work n after they came in I was started on Provera 10 mg for 10 days (I have took it so I will can a period n always had bout day 6 but last time n this time I'm not its day 11 right now) so day 1-10 I take provera n on day 11 I start on estradiol 2 mg for 30 days n after I been on them for 3 full weeks I go back for an untrasound so see if I responded to them.
Has anyone took these like this, when did u start UR period. I'm 24 will b 25 in Jan.

I was on probers to induce periods and I was late Everytime. I still ended up with a 40-45 day cycle. But it was better than 3 mos haha. Once I got them semi normal I tried without and they got closer each month.

I'm I know provera induce periods but what's the perpose of estradiol added to provera? Dr n the nurse is leaving me out of the loop

Idk what that even is :S did they even give u chance to regulate them with the provera? I had to take it 4 times and scheduled a follow up appt to see how it was working.

I have took provera for ever 2-3 years at times we tried it with colmid but stop. All I find on estradiol is its for women goin thu the change of life which I don't believe I am. I'm 24 n no I e has gone thu it early on my moms side.

Ill be goin back to them at the end of Jan. for an untrasound tho

Hmm that's weird. Are you ttc is that why you're trying to regulate periods? Did they do bloodwork for the pcos?

Ok start u on the very start of it all.
2007 my husband n I wasn't together n I was with someone new my son was 11 mos we agree late that year to try to have one of our own so in 2008 I became preg in feb n April I fail n lost our child after a year of trying we tried provera (bc I only have periods every other month) plus colmid. We took a break n started back n 2010 then took another break. I went in 2011 to try again but notice my periods was getting farther apart so we did blood work. Well things started goin bad at home front so I stop goin n called n she called in provera when I'm 3 mos late (bc over 3 months your risk for cancer goes high) well money got tight so I stop that n one day my husband ask me how late I was I said idk we don't the math n I was 5 mos so he said for me to go on to the dr so we can figure out what goin on. So dec 2012 I'm here they done tons of lab work some that day n some while I was fasting but didn't tell me the results expect to take provera for days 1-10 n on day 11 started estradiol for 30 days after I took them for 3 full weeks for me to come in for an untrasound. While I was at the dr they did one n they said its odd for me to be 5 mos late n miss a lot n not have cyst or my lining be thick.....

Hmm. Well they should check your thyroid and blood sugar levels to check or pcos.

I'm on estradiol right now to stop my bleeding. My Dr gave it added to megestrol because the megestrol wasn't enough.

So estradiol stops bleeding?

So my dr have me provera since I'm not having a period then estradiol to stop my period...... This should be interesting.... R u having break though bleeding?

Yeah, I pretty much bleed all the time. The megestrol was supposed to stop it and it was still getting heavier and heavier so he prescribed the estradiol for a month. The nurse said it should stop it, until I stop taking it, so it would kind of reset my cycle. (It's not working for me and I still have bleeding every day. I'm apparently not normal though lol)
