good soup when sick...

mySO is sick... i swear it never leaves our house, he has been in the bathroom all day..
i was gonna make chicken noodle soup again, but i was thinking about another soup...
is miso that one japanese soup with tofu? he wont eat the tofu but i think he would drink the broth. any other soups that arent the "norm" and help easy upset tummies

Miso soup helps me when I have an upset tummy. That and some green tea.

Just leave the tofu out and make the miso broth. My son has been eating today because he woke up vomitting lastnight. I also made vegetarian rice and bean soup and it is great when we're all sick.

Hot and sour soup has tofu (easy to remove), although that's a Chinese thing not usually Japanese. It's spicy which usually isn't great for tummy troubles but I drank so much of it when I was pregnant because it has a ton of ginger in it which was very soothing on my tummy.

Dh also likes rice porridge when he doesn't feel well.

Another thing that might help is chicken pho. It it has lots of ginger in it. By miso is good too.
