baby's first fever

my daughter has a fever of 101.1.. i think it may be because one of her top teeth is trying to come through although it's hard to tell cause i can't get a good enough look. she's been around a lot of other kids lately so there's no telling if it's something else. should i just give her some tylenol (which i did) and check it again in a couple hours? she's never had a fever before so i'm not really sure at what point it becomes more of a worry. she's 7 months old.

is she acting fine other than the fever? A fever is actually there to help her fight off whatever is making her sick

Just keep your eye on her. There's not much you can do but keep her comfortable. With DD1 I give her meds & have her soak in a lukewarm bath that usually brings the fever down

for the most part. she has been acting kind of whiny the past couple days but no other symptoms besides the fever.
