EMG

If you have had an EMG, what was it like? I will be getting one to test for carpal tunnel and my dr made it sound horrific. I asked for an epidural, but she told me that would null the test... so I guess that is out.

Bring gum to chew on. I had to do it on both legs, where they stuck electrodes into every muscle. It was honestly liveable. I imagine it won't be as much/bad for carpal tunnel

I am guessing reading a book or something is out of the question. how long does it take?

Just chew away! They will be asking you questions most likely and it shouldn't take very long to do. Mine took about half an hour and they went from ankle to hips
