My baby is sick :(
posted 31st Dec
He had a 101 fever last night...put a coldwash cloth on his head and nursed him all night....poor baby tossed and turned....this morning it is 102.1...I just gave him Tylenol so hopefully that will help him.
Any thing else I can do for him?
I'm gonna make a garlic feet paste for him when he is done nursing...
Should I roast the garlic first? Or will that take away from it..Last time I mixed raw and coconut oil....he broke out in lil red spots on his feet (

Sounds like ear infection to me. Are you making goot? Maybe use less garlic and more coconut and olive oil. Crush the garlic and let it sit in the oils an hour then heat slightly. Store in the fridge. Use on the feet, chest and back.
If you want to go the natural approach, don't reduce the fever but treat the symptoms. Do vitamin c to bowel intolerance preferably sodium ascorbate if you only have ascorbic acid its in.higher doses. Up vitamin d3 and fermented cod liver oil. You can do gse and oil of oregano for the sickness. I do one drop of each every 4 to 6 hours. Hydrate with hemp, almond milk or coconut milk or water. If they have stomach issues follow the brat diet. Luke warm baths and clothes not cool or cold to fever reduce. Hylands teething tablets have belladonna and slowly fever reduce if it gets above 104.
Garlic and olive oil for the ear infection.

His fever went up to 103.7 last night so I gave him another dose of Tylenol.....I only use it if he is miserable and its over 102. I am goimg to look into different fever reducing options tho because I really dont like the ingredients in Tylenol. Do you give oregano oil like the D drops? I dont have a dropper for the oil in liquid form so I have been putting the paste in his ears and letting it melt 4x a day and on his feet 2x a day. I have given him lavender baths and had him suck on a cucumber...tried a rice pack but he wont stay still . Has your baby had ear infections? I am avoiding antibiotics as much as I can.....I think he has it in both ears.....last time antibiotics made him break out in raw welts on his butt and back . I dont like how it compromises the immune system either. Thanks so much for your advice!! <33

Oh ok. Well try luke warm baths and luke warm cloths. Don't under or overdress. Luke warm fluids. If you going to use a fever reducer use motrin.
Yes my lo has a double infection. You can pour the oil in if you use the medicine cup that came with the reducer or something similar but I think paste works too. We did goot on the feet and chest too. My lo fever immediately went away after the garlic oil drops.
Now I'm just working on her congestion to avoid another infection.
