Help! traveling

posted 4th Jun
My dad just asked me to go on a family vacation to New York for fathers day. From New Orleans that about a 5-6hour flight there and back. When we leave I will be 28 wks exactly and 28 wks 3 days when we come back. I have had no complications at all during my pregnancy and I was wondering if this would be safe. Has anyone flown at this point in pregnancy? Was everything ok? I need opinions.

I think its ok. I think its like after 35 weeks or something like that when you shouldnt travel anymore.

I was told flying it ok up to 34 weeks, but to check with your doctor after 30. You should probably just check with your doctor anyways to be safe, but you should be fine.

I will be 30 weeks this weekend, and I am flying from Kansas City to Pittsburgh Pa on sunday and will be returnign the following sunday. As long as you havn't had any complications its completely fine to fly. You can fly up unil your last month. Just be sure to reserve an isle seat so you have easy bathroom access, and so that you can get up to walk around every once in a while to keep your circulation moving in your legs.

I'd check with your doctor but I think most airlines say they don't want women in their third trimester to fly.

I am a pilot and can assure you that up until 34 to 36 weeks all airlines allow you to fly 9, (at least all US domestic airlines), after that you need a doctors note in triplicate stating the reason you will be flying if it is necessary.
