What type of wall art?

What type of wall art do you have in your little one's bedroom?

I don't know what I want in his room. I've gone to multiple places looking around and can never settle. "This is too childish; this is too grown up.. blah blah blah".

I'll post a few pictures- what do you think would look good? I'm at a loss here.

I am so lost. I want things all over the walls, it just seems so bare to me. I also hate wall stick ons. Sometimes I think maybe a wall decal of a quote or something, but then decide against it.
This might be a post and run, I might finally knock out after little man thinking it was time to party the past two hours.TIA, I hope you ladies have some ideas for me!

Why don't you buy a few canvas and make your own art?
And have your son help?
I love DIY stuff like that.
My son is in our room right now so he has Bettie page over his bed and Audrey hepburn next to him lol.

My son loves painting his own canvas's so we have them in his room and throughout our lounge ;)

I love to paint. I'm actually going to the craft store tomorrow for canvases since for New Years my son will be with his father at his parents, and I'll have some down time. However, I'm super eclectic, and want things to clash. I want other things other than a couple of painted canvases, you know? I want it to have depth and personality... and just can't for the life of me come up with it for his room

Lol that is adorable. I want to finger paint with him so bad but he just turned a year and I know he'll just want to eat it.

They don't have to be just for tops, you can paint them the colors of the rom and put them on a dresser or if you have shelves you can put them up there.
I know they sale the plastic animals cheap at walmart and they are good sizes.

I printed out some prints from Children's Book of Myths and Enchantment Tales, and when I have the money I want to order some Disney concept art to hang in her room. She loves mermaids and Pegasus sothat's what she gets.

We have monkeys on the walls. And then at Joann Fabs - they have these HUGE letters that are cardboard.... I got her letter of her first name, painted it, put pretty ribbon around the ends... and hung it above her crib. I'd take a picture and show ya, but I have no idea how to even post a entry on this thing! Ha.

We rent, so I couldn't paint the walls in the boys' room. It's a jungle theme, and they have a brown curtain, with a lime green jungle print top, with jungle animals printed all over it. I took a piece of the top material, and mod podged it to a large canvas for one of the walls. On the wall above their cribs, are their names. They are lime green letters, with jungle animals on them, and on the other wall I painted a huge piece of poster board in a jungle scene, I couldn't find any canvases big enough.

Are you allowed to put shelves up on your wall? I've seen some really nice little sets of floating bookshelves with eclectic collections of books and they look really great just like that

That's cute. I have something like that, too, though. On the small wall where his play area is I had a mama on here decorate his name.
But it's there, all by itself so ronery.

Thank you! I just got an amazing idea to do with something like that..ah nowz I'm all excited.

Kinda like a mural on the wall type thing? I think that would be super cute on maybe the small wall where his play area is.

Ahhhhh! Yes. I love shelves idea. Maybe corner shelves, on the corner right side of his crib?
