my daughters dad isnt around...

im 32 weeks prego with a healthy baby girl , the doctors said it wont be much longer till she decides to come out , im so nervous because im going to be doing it on my own ( i live with my parents & my mom will help during the day) her "dad" just had another baby at the begging of this month by someone who was supposly a friend. hes there for that baby & he dont even know if its fully his baby.. Weve been on & off for 7 years , i dont understand why he hasnt text/called to check on her. ive had a high risk pregnancy & had many scares. our last convo was over her not having his last name , i dont feel like she should since he hasnt been involved in my pregnancy & i havent seen him my whole entire pregnancy.. but some times i feel bad for being mean :/ will the nervousness & feeling bad go away ?

Do not give LO BDs last name. It creates nothing but headaches, especially if he decides he doesn't want to stick around.
It will get better. It's scary doing it on your own and it's not easy. It's awesome you have your mother to help out

Her BD is terrible,but our family is a great support system.

im just very nervous , maybe because its my first i dont know. but im in an awkward situation cuz bd's sister is engaged to my cousin , all my cousins hang with him & went & seen his other so called baby.. i feel disrespected

This. I had to fight the courts twice in order to get them to grant Lily's middle and last name change.

And yet my ex still has rights.

Dont even put his name on the birth certificate. Make him earn it. And if hes never there? Your kid wont miss out. And you wont have to deal with the headache of him being on the BC.

Just answer them honestly. My daughter is 9 and has rarely asked questions. some kids dont care.

Ya. Just really sucks :/ i never seen it being this way . I feel so alone during it all
