It's not going to work and its going to be even more painful to tattoo over a scar.

I had my tattoo before my stretchmarks, and it's scary. I can only imagine what it'd look like if I had the stretchies first.

I've seen it.. 8 times out of ten it looks terrible.
And some artist won't even do it.

Wouldn't that like cut your skin since the stretch marks make that area's skin thinner? It just seem like it would hurt a lot more.

Well hers's the thing small stretch marks are easy to tatto over. Big ones, wide ones & long ones are more difficult. I have several tattoos. Two in my hip areas, here i have very small & old stretch marks they look great. On the other hand the bottom on one tattoo got a little stretched from the last pregnancy it doesn't look awful but you can tell theres a stretch mark there. So in my opinion i wouldn't get a tat to cover a large area of stretch marks like on the belly or boobies. Smaller stretch marks like on hips or thighs that aren't as noticeable or stretched out i would say go for it. And as always you can also consult a number of tattoo artists & get professional opinions. Good luck =)

Prolly a bad idea. Idk if a tat artist would even do it. Stepbro wanted yoda on his foot he lost all toes on but bc it's all scar tissue no one will touch it.

Small scars (which is all a stretch mark is) can be tattooed over pretty well as long as there's not a lot of linework and detail over the scar. But if you've got big, deep, or a lot of stretch marks... it's not going to look good.
You'll have to show the area to your artist. They'll know best.

I didn't get many stretch marks with ds but when I got my tattoo it went over a couple of them. the ink kind of bled into the stretch mark. And that one little spot looks like a blob
