I have added you, i have been reading loads and its all a bit odd you seem to attract cranks like no-ones business but im not one to get too into it to be honest, i accepted a long time ago that parenting is personal to a parent and child and no two parents will ever agree on everything

With the daddies its less instinctual I think like i said my DH id amazing but he doesnt see our DD the same way its almost a psychic connection between us but i guess thats what its about x

Yes I know what you mean about the psychic connection! Its something very special. I agree with you that all parents will do what they think is best. But somethings that are still popular like CIO for example I feel are very bad for our kids and are child abuse. So if I can help stop a parent from doing it I feel I am saving that child and parent.

I do try and be respectful and helpful but I am sure it can't always come out how I mean it.

I started the cio method with my son after he was a year old and that was because he took himself off the bottle and wouldnt go to sleep any other way now hes 22 months old and has no issues about going to sleep. My 4 month old i put down in his crib for a few mins just to cook dinner or something cause hes a very fussy baby and is only satisfied with something for maybe 10 mins at a time.

Thanks   My mom is definitely stuck on a lot of "old fashioned" parenting techniques in my opinion... so it's interesting to see her opinion on my parenting but oh well... lol that's why she's grandma and I'm mom
