Thank you! Well I'm going to be 35, but we're not in the position where we want to be to TTC. It will be a few more years until we start, if we do. I want to finish my second degree, and possibly another after, and want to be more financially secure. I mean... we own a house and have 2 cars and all that jazz, but we want to make sure we dont struggle.

I'm fine with 40+ year olds ttc, especially men because that doesn't carry any health risks. If I ever have another child, which is highly unlikely, it will be with a man in his late 40's or early 50's because that's the age range I date in.

You've got another 10 years of baby-making in you. Quit worrying! Like I said, my mom had me when she was almost 40 and I was just fine. I don't even think twice about a 35 year old having a baby. I don't think they even do amnio at that age anymore. From what I remember the medical community pretty much agrees that women are good to go until about age 40 and even then most women can have healthy pregnancies.

They say the risks increase at age 35, but not too dramatically until the mother hits forty, but thirty-five is still young enough. My grandmother had my father in her late thirties, and that was over fifty years ago.

I agree 100%. I don't get why people are in such a rush to have a baby. I'm of the opinion that people should wait well into their twenties and after they have finished their education and have a steady career before entering a lifelong commitment (babies and marriage). But people treat babies and marriage like it is a game and not something to take seriously these days. I have a cousin who was working on her SECOND fiance by age 19 and started calling her boyfriend "husband" within a few months of dating.

I also got a piercing impulsively that left a keloid. I have learned my mistakes now! Stupid nineteen year old that I was.
