Caleb was born on 12-28-12 (Grandpa's birthday!!) he weighed 8 pounds 12 oz and was born by C-Section at 8:44 pm. That morning I was having major contractions 1-2 minutes apart every 5 minutes, and was convinced he was coming. We went to our OB appointment, she swept my membranes (was exactly 41 weeks pg) and then we went to measure my amniotic fluids. The Doctor looked concerned and sure enough it was because he was breech and his butt was super low in the birth canal. The night before, the baby was moving so aggressively for three solid hours, and that's when we think he turned. Any way, I went home, packed, and headed straight to the hospital with my husband. When we got there the contractions were coming every 2-3 minutes and the baby was FAR too large to turn, so they said a C-Section would be the safest route for baby and I. I was so terrified, but honestly the actual surgery was the easiest thing I've ever gone through. I am still in major recovery and super sore, but Caleb is perfect and looks exactly like his daddy!!!
