I literally never had or desired for a partying stage of life, lol.
I had my oldest at 17 as a result of an abusive relationship.
Met DH a month before I turned 18.
Got married two months later. And the rest is history

I've never been someone who liked to party either. It's just not my thing. DH did, we overcame some obstacles because of that after his 4th deployment.

Im so sorry you went through that...a friend of mine is currently in an abusive relationship and it is literally one of the hardest things Ive ever had to witness.

That's us. This coming anniversary us our 6th wedding and 10 total together. When we talk about it to people ( or the oldest kid's age), we see their wheels turning doing the math. Cracks me up.

we have this same problem...i was looking for bridemaid dresses and they asked me what day my graduation was! people think were so young lol

DH was such a goody two shoes (still is, lol!) when we met. He'd just turned 21, fresh out of AIT, gotten kidney stones the night after he got smashed on his birthday. Now, he only drinks while he plays video games in our livingroom

My fiance and I will have been together five years by the time we get maried....I just fel like, thats whats supposed to happen. Its what we want. It just sucks donkey dick that my mom doesnt support it.

Thank you <3 I couldn't imagine how my friends felt, especially the ones who watched it happen. I know you probably already know, but just always be there to listen to her; you never know when she'll finally be able to escape and need help to do so.

I was 22 and DH was 20. We were best friends first and when we started dating when we were 17 & 19, we both knew we were in it for the long haul. We're we super young? Definitely! Do I regret it? Not for one single second. We got married the day after I graduated college. We had been together for 3.5 years and had a few years of living on our own. I was definitely more mature for my age when we got married. While I don't think getting married young is necessarily the best idea, it works well for some people. We've been married for 3.5 years and our marriage is still going strong.

Dude my parents are the same way - drives me nuts. I shouldn't be committing myself but my sister, whose younger than me no college, no kids, no responsibility - her engagement was met with tons of happiness and no questions. I get engaged and I get zero happiness and the third degree. What-evs, mom.

I was 22 when I married. we are having our first baby together due jan 12th.
