18. I was ready and a good wife. He was 25 and decided 4 months into it that he wasn't ready to be a husband. We still remain very good friends.

I was 25, turned 26 like 2 weeks after. We had been together since i was 19. And we were engaged for 2 years before we acutally got married. I think we were ready to get married a few years before but def not any sooner than that. I think that is why our marriage is so strong and will last. We have so many friends that got enaged and married all within a 2 years span and they are making it like 2 years and all seperating. its quite sad acutally.

I was 23 the first time. I was definitely more mature than my age.

Maturity is only a very small piece of a successful marriage.

I wish I'd maybe waited a few more years but I met the right person young. I love my husband dearly but sometimes wish I'd been more wild/fun in my 20s.

I am 23, never married, though I am engaged. I will likely be 24 when we are married and he will be 32. I feel like I have grown a lot of the past few years and will continue to, I have always felt "older" than I am, I guess, I feel like I am mentally ready to be married.

Yeah my dad was the one who was on my ass about how I should date around more and telling me I should go out and party. I've never been interested in partying. I've always wanted to be a mom/wife. Sounds stupid and lame but that's how I feel, it's all I have ever wanted. I don't feel like I missed out on anything by marrying young.

I agree with you 100% All my friends who got married at 18, 19 and were only together a year or so are all divorced. DH and I are glad we waited so long.

Most everyone got married so YOUNG! Not saying its a bad thing. I have noticed that a lot of people in the US get married a lot younger than they do here. I was 28 when I got married and DH was 30.

Ill be 24 but we are practically married and have been living the "married" life since 2007 and i was 18. I dont see myself with any other person and we are getting officially married this year well next year after 7.5 years together and 4 kids. We have both changed alot but are growing with eqch other and im glad we waited honestly...
