baby names!!!!!!

Okay so SO and I really like the name Lorelei and also Madeline.
BUT when people see Madeline, how do they pronounce it because we dont want Madelyn.....we want LINE.. Since i have an Emmalynn it would be silly to have -lynnnames IMO.

SO says he likes Maddie too as a nick name. So how would i spell it? Also, if we chose Lorelei we like Pearl for a middle name, do you think Pearl works with Madeline too?

I love Madeline and I would pronounce it Mad - a - line.

I like Pearl but I don't like them together. They're all beautiful names, though.

Lorelei is less common and SO pretty. Lorelei Pearl is perfect.

I think Mad-uh-LINE would be Madeleine and Pearl works with it too.

If you want a y it needs to end in e if you want any chance of people pronouncing it the way you want...

I do pronounce it Madeline as lyn and I always will until the person corrects me. I really dislike Lorelei but Pearl works better with it than Madeline.

I dont think there's any specific spelling (without looking tacky) to prevent people from saying mad-a-lynn...you'll just have to start saying it how you want it pronounce so everyone will get it in their heads.

I think Pearl is a gorgeous middle name for both of your picks!
