She stole my heart!!!!

So.. as a lot of you know.. I went into the hospital at 8am to be induced by pitocin because I was a week overdue. Well.. Drew & I got there around 8ish. They started the pitocin drip almost immediately. I had to wait until 8:30 for the doctor to get there and check my cervix and like normal.. nothing changed lol. I was still 3 cms dilated and 70% effaced.   I had a contraction before she even started the pitocin.. but I definitely didnt feel it. I started having contractions that I could feel around 9ish. They didn't hurt really at all but.. I could feel the tightening and stuff. Around 1:30 they came back in the room and checked me for dilation. I still was exactly the same   It seemed as if it were taking FOREVER! When she seen that I was still the same she called the doctor and came back inside telling me that the doctor wasa little upset that I wasnt progressing from the contractions and said they were going to break my water to try and speed things up a little bit. By this time I was having some pretty strong contractions!! To me it hurt (not super super bad) but NOTHING like they hurt after I had my water broke. I started having SUPER painful contractions right after my water was broken. It felt like they never went away.. and they were 2-3 mins apart still. I asked for the epidural but.. she said I had to be 4cms before she would give it to me and she would come back in an hour and see if I was dilated to 4 cms yet. So for an hour I sat there trying to breathe through my contractions (it really does help!!!!!) and then she finally came back in. She checked me and I was dilated to 4 so went out and had the doctor come give me my epidural. It took him an hour and a half to get there because of something that happened in the ER. I was starting to get a little angry at this point. lol I asked my mom "what the fuck is taking so long" so she went and asked the nurse. The nurse said she would come in and give me some demerol I believe (I dont really remember what it was) through my IV and call to see what was taking him so long. Im not really sure the times of anything at this point because I wasnt really paying attention to much besides my contractions.. But, the nurse came in and put the medicine in my IV and AS SOON as she was finished here comes the epidural guy   I felt pretty good though from just the medicine that she gave me. He had to stick me two times with both things to get the epidural in because I would jump each time he stuck the first needle in lol. But, about 30 minutes later I was the happiest laboring girl around!!   I was reading magazines and eating popsicles lol. It wasnt bad at all. However.. I wasnt completely numb to where I couldnt feel my legs. I could still feel my calves and feet.. just my upper thighs and hips were numb so it was really nice. I dont know how long went by.. but it wasnt much and she came in and checked me again and I was 6cms. YAY!!!! I sat there some more watching tv and doing things.. and it wasnt long AT ALL.. but every time my contractions would get to the 50s and higher I would start having this real big pressure in my butt and crotch. I called for the doctor and she came in and said I was 9-10 cms dilated and I only had a little bit of room. She had me roll on my side a little with a pillow under me and almost immediately I started having even more pressure than I was before. So I called her again.. and she came and checked me and I was completely ready. They got the bed all ready and everything.. I pushed for SEVEN minutes and out came the most beautiful little girl I have EVER seen in my entire life. As soon as I seen her I fell in love with her! I cried.. Drew cried.. my stepdad cried lol. I think just about everyone that was in the room with me cried   I ended up ripping to what she said out of a 4 was a 2. We named her Ryleigh Isabella Conner and she weighed 7 pounds 14.4 oz!   Considering everyone tried to tell me I was too little my whole pregnancy I sure did have a BIG girl  

Im sorry if this is kind of crazy to read. Im realllllly tired. Ive only had 12 hours of sleep the past three days and I'm trying to hurry cause its almost time for her to eat again. But heres some pictures of my little sweetheart

she has lots of hair too.. I'll have to post a picture of her without her hat on. She has lots of brown hair but I have to go feed her and then i'm probably going to take a nap when she does.   thanks for letting me share!

Wow she really is beautiful! Congrats and I'm so glad things went well for you! Try to get some sleep...10 days into this "mommy business" I can tell ya sleep is hard to find, so take advantage whenever you can   Congrats again!
