This!!!! And my stuff took a year.

I am still dealing with custody issues a year and a half later. But I also have other issues going alone with it.

Oh geeze. Yes, he has seen her 2 times a week for a while. I thought if he did not agree then we would go to a judge and he would decide. I am willing to send her back for summer and holidays, etc... I do not even have a home here now, my husband has a job out there. Whic happens to be way better than her fathers job. I just do not know what to do. I do not see how people can be stuck in one state and not be able to move.

Turn the tables and look at it as if he were trying to move to a different state.

It is scary to think that your child would be so far and you would only see them summers and holidays

Despite the fact that you were actually trying to kidnapping his child.
What you did was thoughtless and irresponsible.
Father's have rights as well, and the fact that you've just openly stated he had visitation.

How would your child feel to loose her father?
How would you feel if he tried to do the same thing to you?

If anything, I suspect the judge is going to come down HARD on you for intending to leave the state without even informing her father.
Whoever gave you the advise to just leave is an smurf.

Tell your husband to pack up his smurf, quit his job and move back because you are looking at MONTHS of time spent in court trying to get this sorted, and at the end of the day unless this guy is completely unfit.. It's very unlikely they'll let you take his child away from him.

It took us 3.5 years to get custody of my stepson. It takes time.

My people are quick to judge when they do not know the whole story. To each their own in opinions.

No they aren't quick to judge. You said he had an active part in his kid's life...yet you want to rip his kid away from him and vise versa. I wouldn't even do that to douche! If I move we will agree on it or at least agree on a meeting point for pick up and drop off.

Maybe I should have asked his opinion on the person I married as well? Or maybe what their career would be and if it would affect something like this? Again it is not taking the child from the father, he would be involved in the childs life. Never even a thought to wipe the father out of the picture. But, thank you all for your opinions.

It is kidnapping. She is taking another persons child away from him. Just because she is the kids mom doesn't make her incapable of kidnapping the kid.
