TMI question about stitches?

I know my dissolving stitches are starting to come out , I find bits and pieces every time I wipe so I know for a fact I'm healing but... ever since I noticed them coming out I've also noticed a horrible smell down there... No weird discharge or anything...so would that mean it's normal? It honestly smells like fish and fresh blood or something, It's DISGUSTING and nothing I'm doing is getting the smell to go away..

Sounds like BV. Call your doc. BV often doesn't have discharge weirdness like a YI does.

I would definitely call your doctor. It could be an infection.

Really? Yikes! I have my appt coming up this week so I'll mention it! I was thinking maybe it just smelled weird because of the stitches coming out and healing, I know when I had stitches in my lip it smelled pretty funky when they healed *although those had to be taken out they didn't dissolve* thank you!

mine did the same thing and i felt alot of pressure went 2 weeks with this not thinking nothing of it and then pasted a soft ball size clot that was rotting i would have them check and make sure there is nothing in there they said it was a build up from my placenta that broke off while was delivering her

At my PP check up she said everything looked great and the smell was just from the stitches coming out. Thank goodness!
