red raspberry leaf tea...

Anyone drink it during pregnancy? I have heard alot of conflicting stories on it's use. If you did drink it when did you start?

As long as you don't have a history of miscarriage you can start drinking right away, 1 glass daily for each trimester. If you have a history of miscarriage you should wait until the second semester.
That's what my midwife told me when I asked her.

Awesome thanks! I heard it's good for your placenta and Uterus, So I was thinking since I was in my 3rd trimester, it might be good, besides I love tea

I dRank it from 37weeks. I don't know what it's actually supposed to do but my last 2 labours were fast with no tearing or grazes.
If that's what it's supposed to do I guess it worked?

I had the extract of red rasberry leaf. I took it in my last trimester. I probably should have started earlier as it didn't have any effect I think.

I've read that it actually helps prevent miscarriage.
It's supposed to tone your uterus and make labor easier/less painful. I swear by it after my last L&D. I started drinking it daily at about 30 weeks.

I started it at 34 weeks. I was told it would help with my contractions on pain since i have had preterm labor for weeks. I started taking it and it worked wonders!! I already knew my son was going to come anyday now since i was already at a 3 dilated and 90% effaced at the time. I did not really feel my contractions at all. I had bad cramps which apparently was the dilation. I ended up having my son at 35 weeks and he was just over 6lbs. But it helped with labor and I didnt even need an epi or anything. Helps promote bone growth to your unborn child and helps bring your milk in faster if you choose to BF. Good luck to you!! Be warned though, You start drinking this and you may not know you are in full labor like it happened to me. I had my son in the car, my labor was very fast, like 30-40min.

Ditto. The nurses at the hospital were amazed that I was so calm through labor...they kept telling me how awesome I was doing and that I should be in a documentary, lol. I was talking and laughing...up until about 8 cm, that's when it started to get pretty painful, but DD was out 15 minutes later.
