re: What do you do with your newborn while they are awake?

My daughter never really napped as a newborn so i ould just sit her in the boucner and talk with her, hold her, we went out for walks but at that time it was summer, so it may be cold now to do that, i put her in a baby carrier and walked around with her, i laid in bed with her to relax.

I thought he might be nursing because he was bored too but as soon as I quit feeding he screams bloody murder *which only happens when he's hungry, he never cries!* So :/ who knows! He loves mirrors and lights though, so maybe i'll find something to do with those! He gets TONS of tummy time but usually not on his mat... I completely forgot we had one lol!

this.. i usually put them somewhere and then when they get fussy pick them up and then try again.. lol or put them in the moby. sometimes they liked that, but they would always fall asleep quickly

right lol. It's ridiculous SO and I almost never get him while he's awake and quiet.. we just get him when he's sleeping, screaming, or wanting to eat.

If DD gets fussy I turn the Christmas tree on...she loooves that.

Even though he LOVES lights (he stares at lamps, cell phones, anything that has light lol) he's afraid of the Christmas tree... he makes the most pitiful little face when I take him in there to it... even with the lights off! He's an easy baby but there are some things he just doesn't like and he lets it be known...other than that he doesn't really care... he loves baths and doesn't even cry when he gets his little heel pricked at the doctor lol! I don't understand.

I layer on the floor with my DD with a huge picture book (where's Waldo) lol I searched for.Waldo while pointing out things lol I know I'm a nerd. Lol

Kept me entertained and she seemed to enjoy staring at the pictures. Lol

She loved tummy time from the start.

I would put her in the space saver high chair and it went all the way back for NB. And when I cooked.washed dishes etc....she sat beside me and watched. I just talked to her like anyone else. My older kids laughed at me a lot, cause I would tell her what I was doing and what the weather was like, what my favorite music were and so on. Lol

She would listen and stare at me in aww. Lol

I was never able to put my baby down since week two.
Since then he's been glued to me...

I bet   DS isn't clingy thank goodness I don't know if I could handle it! We co-sleep and co-bathe though so we get lots of time together lol

ive done the same thing me my toddler and my 4 month old will sit on the floor and read books together have been doing that since lo was born.

Ya DD is 10.5 months old now we read every morning then just before her nap at 12 and again before bedtime. Lol she loves books and sits and listens the whole time, she also no longer tries to take it from me and eat it. Lol

we always do it at night right before i start getting them their baths and ready for baths we will sit and read a few books. My son is only 4 months so hes at that age when he wants to eat everything lol but hes starting to finally get into the fun age when hes able to play with toys

I think it was my SO part.... he stayed up 3 days straight only woke me to feed him....so since then he always wanted to be held 


We have to coshower I don't get much help..
