What will I look like afterwords?

posted 30th Dec
I'm 33 weeks pregnant, and last time I went to my maternity clinic doctor he made a joke about my weight. He said "celebrating christmas early I see hahahahaha", Yeah sure it was funny but it hurt my feelings! Ive gained about 23 pounds by now and my pregnancy is not even over. Will I ever be pretty to myself again? Will I be able to lose the weight? Will my hubby still be attracted to me? As beautiful as pregnancy is I find myself torn from confidence.

Some women take forever to lose the pregnancy weight, some take weeks. Breast feed and the pounds will (typically) melt right off   You have to come to terms with your body too you know. Don't hate it, it is the beautiful home of your baby. Be gentle with yourself, and you'll feel comfortable and confident again.

I gained 37 pounds during my pregnancy, and lost it all without a problem. I weighed 105 before and 105 after. It's hard to say what you will look like. Genetics plays a major role. Are you planning on breastfeeding? Stay active and eat healthy, and you shouldn't have a problem.

Size 2 , 4'11. I look hilarious pregnant. I am going to breastfeed. I'm trying to accept that this is the way it happens, and everyone who's pregnant gains some weight. But it's just hard you know? Thanks ladies. Much appreciated. Breast feeding sounds like the key starting point!

I understand. I have always struggled with body image issues, so seeing my weight climb at every appointment was difficult. You're still young, and your metabolism is high, so you should be just fine.

Everyone is different. I never got down to my pre pregnancy weight. I lost all but15 lbs. But I gained weight after I lost the weight even though I was eating healthy. My metabolism was shot after I had DD

I was 127 pre-pregnancy and 180 they day I delivered. It took me 6 months to drop to 125, but I did nothing other than breast feeding. LO is almost 3 and I am now 140. My weight isn't really an issue to me since I'm 5'7", but I don't care for my mom pouch that I have.

If you eat right, stay active, the weight will drop off and you will be healthy. I wouldn't stress it too much, mama.

I weighed 110 pre pregnancy and gained 61lbs. I'm 7 months PP and still have 30 to lose. That whole breastfeeding makes you lose weight... yeah that was crap for me, and my doctor said that when your breastfeed your body holds unto fat and it makes it hard for some women to lose weight.

Btw at 7 months PP I look like crap. Fat, saggy skin, and stretch marks...

ETA I eat clean and work out daily and still can't seem to lose the last 25-30lbs.

I gained 60 lbs with my first pregnancy, and I weighed 100 lbs before I got pregnant. Weeks after having her I was down to 100.
30 lbs with my second, and I haven't weighed myself since he was born.

I'm 5'6" and weighed 108 pre-pregnancy. I gained 43 pounds in those 9 months and got back down to pre-pregnancy weight 6 months after giving birth without working out or dieting even a bit, but was wearing all my old clothes within a week of Liam being born. No stretch marks or saggy skin. I don't find myself pretty now, but I didn't before either, so I don't expect that to change. My husband is still just as attracted to me, if not more - don't understand that, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I carried and gave life to our son.

I gained 62 lbs with Heathen. She's 4 now and I still have 20lbs to lose.
It took 9 months to put it, it's going to take a long time for it to come off. If you are determined, it will happen.
Just know that no matter what, you will always be beautiful

I gained 40 pounds with my 1st. I was 96.5 pounds before i had him and dropped down to about 104 in about 2 months. with this one i have already gained 25 pounds and im only 26 weeks. i guess it really depends on how your body handles it.

Same here with the breastfeeding not speeding up the weight loss process. Once we switched to formula, the pounds came off much quicker.
