When did your baby start eating baby food
posted 30th Dec
His pedi said to wait till he was 4-6 weeks old to give him cereal in his milk so I'm guessing she means longer for baby food? I started giving him baby food like apples bananas and carrots last week. He will be 4 months on the 11th and he loves it. Sad to say lol he gobbles carrots down like he can't get enough! It says on the packaging that if they can sit with support and open their mouth for food they might be ready and hes been doing that for awhile now. Just curious..

I started mine at 4 months cause she was showing interest in food.

Never suppose to put rice cereal in the bottle unless its for medical reasons, and its recommended to wait until 6 months to introduce solids. There digestive track isn't ready for solid foods before that, especially at not even 4 months old.
We started DD on solids at 5.5 months and started BLW at 6.5 months.

DD started "showing interest" around 4 months but we still waited till 6 months. We do BLW.

Solids aren't recommended till 6 months. That being said, I waited till he was 6 months.

What is BLW?

Starting solids too early can trigger food allergies. I learned that the hard way. We are waitig as long as possible this time

my lo will be 4 months old on the 2nd and hes been eating baby food for about 2 weeks now and does great with it. If he is eating with a spoon there is no reason to put it in his bottle though. I just feed my lo about an hour before i give him a bath and start getting him ready for bed than he eats about a 4 ounce bottle and sleeps from 9pm until around 4am. BLW is baby lead weaning

Baby led weaning. Which is not giving purees and going right into table foods/finger foods.
