My son turned 3 months on the 24th and since yesterday he's been sleeping like crazy. He literally eats then sleeps then wakes up to eat again 2 hours later, might stay awake for 10 minutes before he starts crying because he wants to be left alone to sleep. Usually he stays up for at least an hour if not more between feedings but yesterday I can't even say he was awake for an.hour collectively the whole day. Then he slept right through the night when usually he wakes up at 1 and 5 to eat after having a bottle at 9. His last bottle last night was a little after 7 so I just woke him up at 5 this morning so he could eat. Even now he's been asleep for the last 2 hours. I guess I'm worried more so because last weekend he had a double ear infection and a cold so they put him on antibiotics that he's still taking and idk I'm probably freaking mysel out for nothing? Do growth spurts cause babies to sleep a lot more than normal?

Definitely sounds like he is growth spurting!

Could be a growth spurt along with getting over being sick. I would not worry too much unless it lasts an extended period of time

Growth spurt and recovery is my guess too

Yay thank you! Its just so odd how much he's been sleeping. You would think I'd be happy he slept through the night but nope I slept even less than normal lol

sounds like a growth spurt and recovery to me as well my 4 month old was like that about 2 weeks ago after getting over the flu
