My daughter is almost 5 months old - she had her first UTI at 2 months old. We went and had an ultrasound and VCUG - turns out she has bladder reflux that backs into both kidneys. There isn't any kidney deformations (thank GOD!!!) She is on preventative medicane for the last two months, until June. Then from there she will have an ultrasound/consultation, decide if she needs the meds some more and see if it's getting better - then in October she will have another VCUG. Her's is a stage 2/3. So it's moderate. It COULD very well correct itself - but we're just hanging on and seeing. 4/5 is worse - usually surgery is recommended. Get a really good urologist and ask all the questions you need, so your not scared (like I was/am).
